Many people just go through the motions and get through each day because it’s mandatory. People grow up with their lives planned out for them – school, varsity, job, marriage and then kids…
But what if we chose to take a different path? Our own one. I’m not saying that we should all drop out and see where our new found freedom takes us. I’m simply saying that it’s okay not to have it all figured out. It’s okay to just… ‘wing it’.
Sometimes in life you have to wander around and take a few detours before you find your true purpose. Often the beauty of life hides behind the detour that you didn’t plan on taking.
Some of us wander by choice; it teaches us, it strengthens us and it brings us wisdom that can only come with experience.
“All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who wander are lost;
The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by the frost.
From the ashes a fire shall be woken,
A light from the shadows shall spring;
Renewed shall be blade that was broken,
The crownless again shall be king”
– J. R. R. Tolkien
